Château Clarke is a distinguished estate in Listrac-Médoc, Bordeaux, with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. It was acquired in 1973 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who transformed the neglected property into a jewel of the Médoc through extensive replanting and modernization. The estate is now celebrated for its elegant reds and its revival of Le Merle Blanc, a white wine originally created in the 19th century.
Château Clarke wines are crafted with a bold vision: to produce expressive, food-friendly Bordeaux blends that reflect the unique terroir of Listrac-Médoc. The estate’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean lends freshness and aromatic lift to its wines. Over the past 50 years, it has become a symbol of Rothschild heritage and winemaking excellence.
